LEE SCRATCH PERRY WEARS HIS CROWN - AND HIS S-CAT CIRCUIT BENT DIGITAL DUBSTA DELAY - WITH PRIDE

When we heard that Lee's studio
had burnt down, we wanted to help
out in a small way. So we built him
a circuit bent Dubsta delay, as
producer Daniel Boyle had used his
Dubsta on Lee's acclaimed "Back on
the controls" album.

He sent these awesome photos in
return, and we wish him many more
years of producing great music!

OUR ANALOGUE "DUBSTA" DELAY IS ABOUT TO GO INTO PRODUCTION!

We have begun to manufacture our first batch of the pure analogue "Dubsta" Delay. Powered by four MN3005 BBD chips, it looks and sounds great. The initial run of PCBs have already come back from the factory in the UK, and cases will follow shortly.

D.A.V.E. THE DRUMMER UNBOXES HIS S-CAT
ANALOGUE DUBSTA DELAY

We visited producer Henry Cullen (AKA D.A.V.E The Drummer) at the Punishment Farm studio to hand over his Dubsta Delay and run through the extensive controls. Henry has run the label Hydraulix for many years, and has been behind some of the most cutting-edge techno tracks in the UK scene.

He took to the Dubsta Delay immediately, and he plans to make some tutorial videos for us in the near future, for which we are very grateful!

ROLLING LION STUDIO : DANIEL BOYLE & HIS DUBSTA DELAY

Dan has supported S-CAT for many years, so we were excited to hand over his Dubsta Delay. We were lucky enough to have the vocals from the new Lee "Scratch" Perry album running through the unit, as Daniel is working on the mixdown of his new album.

Check out the video for a clip of classic dub vocals from the master himself - and our delay providing a lovely chorus and echo.

S-CAT ANALOGUE BASS-SYNTH IS HERE

Our latest addition to the S-CAT family is a powerful analogue bass synthesizer. The Bass-Synth is a beast of a machine that uses the Curtis CEM3340 VCO, plus an extreme 48dB/octave low pass filter for the cleanest sound. One of our customers, Jamie Croyden, writes:

"...The thing that totally blew me away though was how instantly you can dial in the bass, from super clean deep subs to raw filtered speaker ripping stuff and everything in between. It is built like a tank and a pleasure to use."

SCOTTWORKS FESTIVAL, L.A.

Composer Ego Plum was involved in this festival celebrating the work of pioneering musician Raymond Scott. He took his circuit bent S-CAT Casio DM-100 keyboard along for the ride, where the legendary musician and inventor Herbert Deutsch can be seen checking it out. An Emeritus Professor, Herbert Deutsch was involved with the development of the first Moog synthesizer in the 1960's.

COMMISSION COMPLETED FOR...JEAN-MICHEL JARRE

It never ceases to amaze us at S-CAT when well-known musicians place orders. So we were blown away when Jean-Michelle Jarre got in touch to order two circuit bent Casio keyboards for a new project. He was very happy with his upright Casio PT-30 and DM-100. We will be listening closely to his upcoming releases!

We just received this great photo of JMJ in the studio with his S-CAT Casio DM-100 keyboard. A fantastic start to the new year.
