Lee Perry with circuit bent delay

Daniel Boyle and Lee “Scratch” Perry

Veteran of dub Lee “Scratch” Perry released his new album “Back on the Controls” through a very successful kickstarter campaign in 2014. His producer, Daniel Boyle of Rolling Lion Studio, is a customer of S-CAT. We were very proud to learn that Dan included our circuit bent Dubsta digital delay in the production, and blown away to hear that they had been nominated for a Grammy! Our circuit bent Dubsta delay even made it onto the gatefold artwork (see bottom right corner).

When we heard that Lee’s studio had burnt down, we wanted to help out in a small way. So we built him a special circuit bent Dubsta delay.

Dan has supported S-CAT for many years, so we were excited to hand over his brand new Analogue Dubsta-Delay. We were lucky enough to have the vocals from the new Lee “Scratch” Perry album running through the unit, as Daniel was working on the mixdown of his new album.
