The S-CAT Filter-Phase is an incredibly versatile and powerful stereo filter / phaser, based on two reissued SSI2140 chips. The unit is capable of filtering from 6 - 48dB/Octave depending on configuration.

The unit can be used as two independent mono filters for two different instruments. In mono use, you can select High Pass, Low Pass or Phaser mode, up to 24dB/octave.

It can be used a a stereo unit by running one sound or instrument through both filters. In this mode, High Pass, Low Pass, Band Pass and Phaser modes are possible, up to 48dB/octave.

The LFO section, with ultra fast & super slow modes, can be set up in various ways to create different effects.

Originally, the Double Trouble distortion was designed specifically with classic electronic instruments in mind, namely the TB- 303, TR-909 and TR-808 in particular. But it also works wonders on a wide range of modern digital electronic musical instruments, and will warm the signals beautifully, especially when used in conjunction with our unique peak filter.

Once we were happy with the distortion sounds achievable when used with electronic instruments, it was of course crazy not to see how it would affect a guitar. The results were quite amazing. It turns out that the distortion types and even the filter were very well suited to distorting guitars and even bass guitar.

The S-CAT Dub-Siren is a simple, yet powerful, pure analogue sound generator with LFO. Inspired by the original dub sound-systems, capable of room shaking bass tones as well as traditional sirens and FX, the Dub-Siren cries out to have its buttons pushed and knobs turned.

While this machine is ideal for producers of dub and dub reggae, it has a place in any style of modern electronic music, especially in live performance.

The S-CAT Time-Freek Digital Delay has a fantastic sound for use with vocals, drums, synths and guitar. The range of this delay is immense, with the capacity to create every effect from a lush chorus, to standard delay effects, right up to downright crazy and mangled sounds. It includes tap tempo and midi rate control, a "hold" function that will repeat forever, and our "Dub-Back" feedback for wispy, dubby repeats, along with modulation that can be clocked via midi or controlled manually.

For the vintage hardware user, we have included clock pulse and din sync out (x2) in addition to midi in and thru sockets. A dedicated mic input is also included, with an outstanding mic pre.

The S-CAT Bass-Synth is an analogue synthesizer based around the classic CEM3340 VCO. Designed specifically for low bass frequencies, and controlled via CV/Gate, the Bass Synth will work with, for example, the Roland TB 303, or clones thereof. It will play the same line, but can be dropped 1 or 2 octaves lower for instant sub-bass. It can also be controlled via MIDI if used with a MIDI to CV converter.

There is a simple control panel, but more complex controls can be accessed via a patchbay for use with modular systems or synthesizers.

The S-CAT analogue Dubsta-Delay is a pure analogue effect using four 4096-stage MN3005 BBD chips. Analogue delay is sought after for the warmth it gives to any sound that runs through it. Our unit certainly provides warmth, and also an unusually strong sound on the repeats. It includes modulation for chorusing and other effects. There are several extra features for that trademark S-CAT hands-on experience.

This is a delay that can be played like an instrument.
